How reviews work
Reviews on brachistalog.com are written by people who bought our products. This page explains how you write one, what we check before it appears, and what we never do.
Who can write a review
You can review a product once it has been shipped to you. Sign in, open your account, and choose Write a review under the order. You can write one review for each product in each order. Orders from our online store, from Kickstarter and from other places where you bought LogCase all count, as long as they are linked to your account.
Every review shows a Verified buyer mark, because we only take reviews for products you received. If you choose, it can also show where you bought it, such as Kickstarter backer or Online store.
What you can add
A star rating and your words, up to five photos and one video of up to 60 seconds. Before you send, Load preview shows your review as it will appear on the product page. You can post under the name you choose, or anonymously.
What we check
A person reads every review before it appears. We publish reviews whatever their rating, and we do not change what you say about the product or your rating. We do not publish a review if it:
- is advertising or promotion,
- is offensive or abusive,
- contains personal details, such as a phone number, an address or someone else's name,
- is not about the product, or
- has a photo or video that shows a person who has not agreed to be shown.
If only one detail breaks these rules, such as a phone number, we may hide that detail and publish the rest. If we do not publish your review, your account shows the reason, and you can change it and send it once more.
We never hold back or remove a review because its rating is low or because it criticises us. Our staff and their families do not review our products.
Changing or removing your review
You can change a published review from your account. We read the changes before they appear; until then, your current review stays on the page. A changed review shows the date it was updated.
You can remove your review from your account at any time. It comes off our website at once. After that, you cannot write another review for the same product of the same order.
Thank-you code
If you ask for it when you send your review, we email you a code for 10% off your next order once your review is published. You get it whatever rating you give, and it does not depend on what you write. There is one code for each order, it can be used once, and it is valid for 12 months. Changing a review does not give a new code.
Reviews whose writer received a code say so on the product page. Your codes are listed in your account, and you can apply an unused one in your cart.
Languages and translation
Reviews appear in the language they were written in. On pages in another language we show a translation made by AI, labelled as a translation, and you can always switch back to the original.
The star average
The average on a product is worked out from every published review of that product, with no weighting and nothing left out.
Your details
We show the name you choose (or Anonymous), your country and the date. Your email address, your order and any other details stay with us and are never published. We remove location and other hidden data from photos and videos before they appear.
The rules we follow
We collect and show reviews in line with Japan's rules on stealth marketing under the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (in force since October 2023), the US Federal Trade Commission's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (2024), and Thailand's Consumer Protection Act.
